Day 1: January 4th, 2021
THE CORPORATE ANOINTING
“How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil that was poured over Aaron’s head, that ran down his beard and onto the border of his robe. Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon that falls on the mountains of Zion. And there the LORD has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.”
“I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”
There is power in unity. It is a spiritual law. When God’s people join together in true agreement with Him, a supernatural anointing is poured out upon them. Think of it as the Father’s pleasure supercharging whatever they have set their mind to do. He wants us to be in agreement. In Paul’s day, the Bible tells us he and the believers turned the world upside down due to their message of Christ and the anointing they operated in. The worldly leaders didn’t know how to stop them because of this glory brought about by the believer’s unity. At one point, the very house they were praying in was shaken because “all the believers were of in one heart and mind”. Acts 4:31-32
If we expect to cause serious change to our culture, we will need to be unified as a church. We need to unify around the vision put before us by God (see Vision and Mission on our website). We need to embrace the part God want us to play in accomplishing that vision. Cast aside the usual “I’ll wait and see” thinking. God says that if we can think it, we can have it. Then we’ll see it.
In this “First Fruits Season,” what is God asking from you? Are you willing to join Him and us in unity of heart and action?
Prayer Focus: Pray that every believer will join together as a corporate body in true unity in this season. Pray that we will be one so that the testimony of Flagstaff being the easiest place on earth to Love Jesus and to find total satisfaction serving Him would become a reality!
Ask God what he wants from you: time, talents, money, etc. Pray for the courage to give it in faith and with gladness of heart.
